Today we are presenting you this lovely wedding shot in Mont Tremblant, Quebec. Shot by OPUSTILL (NADIA ZHENG).

AN INTIMATE COTTAGE WEDDING IN CÔTE-NORD MONT TREMBLANT, QUEBEC

For Brooke and Ryan’s wedding day, the couple created a laid-back vibe that made everyone in their orbit feel immediately welcome. A small, intimate party of about 30 friends and family (including their two lovely little girls)  gathered at a cottage near a lake in Mont Tremblant, Quebec. Both hailing from Ontario, the location had special meaning to them — it was where they stayed when they first started dating. Their tightly-connected group of guests stayed in two cabins close to one another and created a day filled with hugs and laughter.

A family affair to the core, it was the bride’s mother, Nancy, who initially found us online. Talking to Brooke on the phone before the wedding, she let us know that they were up for anything, so long as we could capture what was truthful to their day.

Fitting with the mood, although it was mid-September, the temperature was unexpectedly warm. The ceremony itself was on a small beach in front of the lake. It was short and sweet, with special touches that celebrated the couple’s creativity, and the closeness of each other’s families. The bouquets held by the bride and bridesmaids, as well as the boutonnieres were handmade by Brooke and her sister CA with dry flowers. It was a fun sister project for them. CA made dream catchers that decorated the cabin.  During the reception, Brooke even put up a fox tail to show that she had become a member of the Fox family!

We shot for seven hours — a relatively short time when covering a wedding. We started just after 1pm and covered the bride and groom’s prep, the ceremony, shots of the couple and their family, and part of the reception. The couple were the epitome of relaxed warmth and effortlessly brought us into their fold. They had love and generosity to spare: when our car had tire trouble, the groom even offered to fix it for us! (But we did not trouble him on such an important day.) They had thoughtfully prepared name tags for us photographers, and the groom even thanked us in his speech.

Congratulations again to the lovely couple!
