Hello and thank you for your interest. We are thrilled that you are considering being listed amongst the most professional in the city.
The community in Montreal is extensive and our goal is to build the number one destination for couples to find their perfect wedding photographer.
This website consist of a simple layout packed with awesome features that will highly benefit photographers in showcasing their expertise. This is not just your typical database; this website is here to assist you.
Why should you join as a photographer?
We aren’t like other websites. We do not accept every single photographer. We want to make sure that the community stays strong and so, only advertise people/companies that have good reputations and align with our guidelines.
The team behind this website have been leaders in the industry for over 10 years and knows how to reach out to the community.
We have a closed Facebook group where the photographers discuss and support each other to make the community better, together.
Our blog will feature only Montreal Photographers and showcase advice that will be related to our wonderful city.
We are planning on launching a concierge service where couples will be able to meet us and we will match them to you so that you always get your perfect couple!
We are working on a private forum online for our members to discuss and grow together as professional photographers.
We are slowly working on having a communal shooting space for members.
We understand that blogging and social media takes work so we are here to help you great custom content for your own websites.
And finally, We are really nice.
Before applying, we need to make sure of a few things as we want to make sure that the photographers here are awesome and respect our industry as much as we do.
Feel the same? Then, you shouldn’t have a problem applying!
You are perfect for this website if :
- You are a legal business allowed to work in Canada. We might need to see your NEQ number unless your business name is the same as your full name (as per Quebec laws, you don’t need to register that). NEQ numbers take 5 minutes to obtain.
- You have been in business (as a photographer specializing in weddings) for at least 2 years. New photographers are awesome, but we want people that know the industry very well.
- You have a full working website (not only a Facebook page).
- You are primarily a wedding photographer. You can photograph other fields as well but your website mostly pushes weddings.
- Your smallest wedding package is at least of 2000$. We understand that you need to charge less when you first get started but, as a professional, you quickly learn that you cannot run a proper business charging low prices. We encourage photographers that care about the caliber of our industry and that, begins with pricing. Elopements packages don’t count here. We understand that those might be a little less.
- All your clients sign a legal document/contract when they book with you. We care about clients and want to make sure they are protected with you and you are protected with them.
- All the photos that you will put on your portfolio are YOURS. We do not accept businesses with multiple shooters.
- You have at least 2 references from clients that RAVE about you and wouldn’t mind sharing a few words about you along with their information. We will ask for those.
- You are an ACTIVE part of our community. You belong to the MTLWP general group on Facebook, you have no issues discussing pricing, industry standards, and often come out to get-togethers with other photographers.
- You work with a personal mission that aligns with mykindofpeople.ca which agrees to never discriminate potential clients based on their race, gender, sexual orientation or way of life in general. POTENTIAL CLIENTS ARE SAFE HERE.

This listing will get you :
- Everything in the BASIC LISTING
- A featured blog post (and mailing list post) written as editorial content to formally introduce you
- Have an opportunity to WRITE on our blog (as many as you want, as long as the subject is approved by MontrealWeddingPhotographers), further increasing your credibility as a professional and to help your SEO.
- Have a small promotional video on your profile (we’ll help you make it).
- We’ll use your photos in random Editorial Content on the blog (with credit of course)
- Your profile will be shown on our main page (index) as an “Elite Photographer”
- You’ll get access to our private online resource forum for photographers (coming soon)
Pricing for the Fancy listing is $10/month.
Premium Listing
This listing will get you :
- Everything in the BASIC LISTING
- Everything in the FANCY LISTING
PLUS, some unique content for yourself!
What does this mean? Montrealweddingphotographers.com is interested in helping the community to the fullest. We want people to start understanding how picking the right photographer is more important than how much they cost. We want that the right photographers start getting seen by couples.
For this, we are offering a Premium service where we will WRITE 20 custom blog posts (per year) to use on your OWN WEBSITE. These posts can be used by you (and only you) so that you can start getting more visitors on your website and, in turn, getting more potential clients! Extra posts can be done for you at only 30$/post.
Why spend the money here? Instead of spending money on a booth, spending money on someone that would ACTIVELY work on putting your website on the first page on google by blogging NEW and ORIGINAL content made specifically for YOUR CLIENT is much more valuable. We sit down first, make sure we understand who that client is and then, we write for you. Photographers with this listing will also have a custom Interview-style video to display on their profiles and on their own website.
Pricing for the Fancy listing is $1000/year.

A: You may share whichever information you are known for, just make sure the photos are yours!
A: Unfortunately no. We want you to create a connection with your potential client and show off your lovely face! Logo tend to be cold and “bulky”. It also keeps a consistency to our website. You can, however, use the company name as the profile name. Just as long as you mention your own name in the intro.
No. Montreal wedding photographers qualify itself as a professional wedding directory and only accepts companies that have been in business for more than 2 years shooting primarily weddings. However, guess what! MontreaLifestylePhotographers.com totally exists too! Go sign up there!
A: We can remove your listing with a few days’ notices, but unfortunately refunds are not possible.
A: We will ask you to fill out a questionnaire about yourself, your business and your methodology so couples can get to know you.
A: English and, soon, we will be making it in FRENCH! We want to reaching out to the entire Montreal community.
A: Unfortunately, ads on our site will be exclusively offered to other wedding industries given that the website is dedicated to photographers.
A: This website is dedicated to photographers only which means we will not PUSH your video. That being said, it is up to you if you wish to write about your videography skills in your company’s listing description.
A: When it’s time to send you a new post, we will send you three subjects and you will be able to choose your favourite before we write it. Then, we’ll never use that subject again for someone else.
A: Yes. with the social media package, we can help your social media presence. It’s 1000$/year to manage it with your own photos or 500$/month to take BTS photos for you as well.
No, you do not have to physically sign the pledge but you need to agree to its terms. You agree to never judge or discriminate anyone who is “different” from you. You agree to give the same excellent customer service to anyone and everyone. Your business is a SAFE PLACE for all. Period.
